
An Osogbo Magistrates' Court in Osun on Friday sentenced a 28-year-old understudy minister, distinguished as Akintunde Olatunde, to three years detainment for theft.
The officer, Mr Olusola Aluko, in his judgment, said the convict who is likewise an understudy minister at a petition service in Osogbo, ought to be kept in a correctional facility because of the extent of his offense or pay an alternative of N24, 000-fine.
Insp. Fagboyinbo Abiodun who is the prosecutor had before told the court that the convict conferred the offense on June 10 at around 5:00 p.m., in Omobolanle region of Osogbo.
The Insp. noticed that the convict planned with others now everywhere to break into the lofts and shops in the area where they trucked away some family unit and perishable things.
As per Abiodun, the offense negated Sections 516, 413, 390, 411 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The convict conceded to the 12-count charge favored as a detriment to him when his case was called.
