No Going Back On Our Strike- ASUU Says (Full Story)

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says there is no going back on its one-week warning strike scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, the union's National President, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on phone on Tuesday in Lagos that the strike would be add up to.

The union initiative, after its crisis official panel meeting, proclaimed the notice strike at a news gathering on Monday in Abuja.

Ogunyemi said unending under-financing of the segment through low budgetary allotment, which went from 11 for each penny in 2015 to eight for every penny in 2016, did not run down well with the union.

Responding to the looming strike, the National Parent Teacher Association of Nigeria (NAPTAN), said that ASUU was correct and that it must be upheld.

Boss Adeolu Ogunbanjo, the affiliation's second Deputy National President, told NAN that it was time the administration consider the nation's instruction important, particularly even with the innovation age.

"ASUU has done well by giving cautioning, considering the persistence its individuals have appeared in these entire issues.
