Nokia sues Apple for infringing technology patents



Espoo (Finland) – Finland's Nokia Corp (NOKIA.HE) on Wednesday said it had sued Apple Inc (AAPL.O), blaming the iPhone creator for disregarding 32 innovation licenses.

Apple sued Acacia Research Corp (ACTG.O) and Conversant Intellectual Property Management Inc [GEGGIM.UL] on Tuesday, blaming them for conspiring with Nokia to extricate and coerce excessive incomes unreasonably and hostile to aggressively from Apple.

Nokia's claims, documented in courts in Dusseldorf, Mannheim and Munich, Germany and the U.S. Area Court for the Eastern District of Texas, secured licenses for presentations, UIs, programming, recieving wires, chipsets and video coding.

"Since concurring a permit covering a few licenses from the Nokia Technologies portfolio in 2011, Apple has declined ensuing offers made by Nokia. "Apple additionally declined to permit other of its licensed developments which are utilized by a hefty portion of Apple's items'', Nokia said in an announcement.

However Apple and Acacia did not promptly react to demands for input. (Reuters/NAN)
