Army Set To Launch ‘Operation Accord’ Over Farmers, Herdsmen Clash


The Nigerian Military has confirmed it is set to launch “Operation Accord”, which is aimed at ending the clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the country.


This was reported by the Director of Information, Officer of the Chief of Defense Staff, Brigadier-General Rabe Abubakar in Warri, Delta State.

"At whatever time from now, it will get to be operationalised and the issues of herders conflicting with guiltless nationals will be a relic of past times," he said.

Abubakar likewise promised that every one of those held prisoner by Boko Haram will be protected.

"I am guaranteeing Nigerians that the Armed Forces and security operators will never leave any stone unturned to save every one of those that have been kidnapped by the Boko Haram guerillas.

"The Nigerian military and security organizations are developing the hand of partnership by method for joint effort, synergising and looking for your collaboration and comprehension.

"Media is one of the key partners and accomplice in a large portion of the military operations in the Nigeria range and has been a specialist in encouraging quiet and concordant relationship," he said.
