Arsenal Legend, Thierry Henry has insisted that the team don’t need West Ham’s Dmitri Payet as Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi has the potentials to be like the Frenchman in a not too distant future.
Payet has declined to trim his boot for West Ham in his offer to constrain a move to Marseille yet there are reports that Arsenal could venture in and grab the 29 year old who joined West Ham year and a half back.
Supervisor Arsene Wenger has effectively turned down the claim.
Henry who functions as savant for Sky Sports says his previous manager is correct when he said Arsenal are in no requirement for a player like Payet, refering to Iwobi as one player who could play at same level like Payet if given time.
Henry said on Sky Sports, "I don't think Arsenal require a player like Payet right now.
"They have Iwobi who could resemble Payet in couple of years time, he has been useful for Arsenal playing through the center.
"Iwobi needs diversions to satisfy his possibilities and marking a player like Payet could confine his playing time, and it could spell fate for his improvement."
