The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Oladapo Alaba for planning to burn down a popular supermarket, the Ceci in Alagbaka area of Akure, the state capital on Friday.
As indicated by the Public Relations Officer of the commander, Mr. Femi Joseph, who talked with DAILY POST on Sunday, the suspect was going to complete the devious demonstration at around 3am on Friday when the men of the order on routine patrol got him .
He said Alaba was associated to be unified with those punks that torched open places in the late time in the state.
Joseph said, " Our men, while on watch at around 3am saw the suspect at the premises of the general store, promptly he saw our men he fled and our men pursued him until he was captured .
" We have started examination on the matter and in our preparatory investigation, we found that he needed to set the grocery store ablaze . We are as yet cross examining the suspect to know whether he was being sent by a few people or not furthermore to know his genuine aim for choosing to complete the demonstration ."
The PPRO likewise pronounced that the suspect will be charged to court after the examination had been closed, approaching the general population of the state to participate with the police to uncover the refuges of lawbreakers in their surroundings.
He said, " We require the support of our kin to battle wrongdoings in this state. We, the police can't do only it, we can't be wherever while, is the reason we require the general population to give us data about anyone suspected to be criminal or occupied with criminal exercises among us.
