Mourinho says he is hoping David De Gea doesn’t win a fourth consecutive Player of The Year at the Manchester United awards in 2017.
The Spanish shotstopper has not dropped his frame as his different partners battled for shape since the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson. He has won the honor three years consecutively.
He said: "I think when a goalkeeper is the player of the season this is on account of something isn't right.
"Ideally, David is not our Player of the Year again this season, however ideally he continues making vital puts something aside for us as he did in the last match [against West Ham]."
Keeping in mind Mourinho is glad for De Gea getting perceived for his commitment, Mou feels it is the ideal opportunity for change.
