Paul Pogba has hailed Zinedine Zidane’s beautiful style as a player, saying he sees the Madrid coach as his idol.
The formal France global helped France to the 1998 world cup, scoring two objectives in the last.
Zidane, 44, guided Madrid to the Champions League last season and won the Club World Cup in 2016, however Pogba is still in amazement of his abilities as a player.
"I respect him a ton," he told FIFA.com. "When I was more youthful, I was watching his recordings, the way he was playing.
"I adore enormous players, however there are a few players who have something additional. On the pitch you have 11 players, in the squad, 22, and you see just a single or two.
"You generally observe him accomplishing something unique, the way he's playing, it's lovely to see. Ronaldinho was the same, these are players who have something unique – he has that.
"I was continually watching him. The ball was in one place yet I was continually searching for Zidane."
