254 Teachers Drag Governor Wike To Court Over Unpaid Salaries

254 instructors have dragged the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike to the National Industrial Court in Bayelsa state, taking after the non-installment of their compensations since February 2016.

Punch reports that the issue began when the Governor declared that his organization will no more pay the compensations of instructors who work in exhibition schools of foundations like; The Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, and Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, in light of the fact that the understudies pay school expenses.

The instructors requested that the court request Wike to pay their compensations adding that their bosses declined to pay them since he made the declaration.

They additionally supplicated the court to pronounce as illicit, the choice of the Rivers Governor to stop the installment of their compensations.

Additionally, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state portrayed Governor Nyesom Wike as a homicidal and evil lawmaker.
