Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has cautioned more Argentina players could take after Lionel Messi into global retirement after the Barcelona whiz's stun exit.
Messi called time on his Argentina vocation subsequent to missing a punishment in a shootout annihilation to Chile in Sunday's Copa America last. "It's possible that Messi won't be the one and only to go into universal retirement," said Aguero. "It's our hardest thrashing to take," he included.
"We were all exceptionally crushed in the changing area, especially Leo, I'd never seen him in such a state," Aguero said. Argentina lost their third straight real last after agonizing thrashings in the 2014 World Cup and 2015 Copa America.
Aguero did not say whether he would be one of the players to call time on his Argentina vocation. The fates of Barcelona shield Javier Mascherano, 32, and maybe assailant Gonzalo Higuain could be in uncertainty after the annihilation.
