Igbo now slaves in Nigeria- 90-year-old monarch

A noticeable nonagenarian ruler, Eze Demond Ogugua has criticized the position of Ndigbo in Nigeria today, mourning that Ndigbo are presently regarded as slaves in their nation.

"We have no streets. We are currently slaves in Nigeria," he said. He especially censured the Niger Delta Development Commission which he said deserted the vast majority of the tasks in Abia and Imo States, which are individuals from the commission, saying it demonstrates that Ndigbo are not respected by the Government. Eze Ogugua, who is the conventional leader of Eziudo, Ezinihite, Mbaise, talked weekend, in his home in Umuahia. As indicated by him, NDDC has surrendered the Mbaise ring street and different activities in Imo and Abia State.

"They [NDDC] deserted every one of the activities in Igbo arrive, the Mbaise ring street, which is currently a no-go range. Eze Ogugua said. He additionally cautioned against dragging Ohaneze Ndigbo into legislative issues, saying it would spell fate for Ndigbo.
