Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the 2016 Ballon D’Or prize.
The Real Madrid genius beat off rivalry from adversary Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann, to claim his fourth Ballon D'Or.
Ronaldo had already won the honor in 2008, 2013 and 2014.
The 31-year-old delighted in a splendid year, winning the Champions League with Madrid, before captaining Portugal to European Championship magnificence in France, making him a hot contender to win this year.
Messi is however still in front of Ronaldo, as he has won a record five Ballon D'Or prizes.
The Portuguese is however a solid most loved to win FIFA Best Player Award in January.
