Two persons were killed during a bloody clash between Igbo and Fulani people at Gariki Market, Enugu, on Wednesday.
The expired people were recognized as one Ali, a Fulani and Ifeanyi Ifeacho, an Igbo.The episode happened late on Wednesday evening.
As indicated by an observer, inconvenience began when Ali originated from New Artisan Market with a dairy animals to butcher in the Gariki abattoir.
Ali came to Gariki abattoir where Ifeanyi functioned as chaperon to butcher his dairy animals, taking after the conclusion of New Artisan Market by the state government early this week.
The observer said when Ali wrapped up his dairy animals, he gave Ifeanyi N400 rather than the N500 charge for butchering a cow in the abattoir.
Ifeanyi was said to have requested that Ali give him the rest of the N100 however the Fulani man stayed resolute, demanding that he would not pay some other cash.
The misconception declined to a battle between the two.
In the resulting scuffle, Ali hauled out a blade and cut Ifeanyi severally on the stomach.
Ifeanyi drooped on the ground and kicked the bucket on the spot.
Ali endeavored to escape from the market however some offended Igbo brokers got him and slaughtered him thusly.
The irate Igbo merchants prepared and torched the mosque inside Gariki market.
