Barcelona to face Atletico Madrid in Copa del Rey semi-final

Luis Enrique's side will come up against Atleti as the two sides hope to book their place in the last of the opposition


Barcelona will confront Atletico Madrid in the semi-last of the Copa del Rey, with Alaves going up against Celta Vigo, the champions of Real Madrid.

In the wake of thumping out Real Sociedad in the quarter-last, the holders will go to the Vicente Calderon for the primary leg on February 1 preceding the arrival at Camp Nou seven days after the fact.

"We confront Atleti once more. We know them extremely well. It'll be an extremely troublesome diversion," Barca midfielder Sergi Roberto said taking after the draw.

"The littlest things can have the effect in this sort of diversion."

Atletico booked their place in the semi-last by defeating the test of Eibar, beating them 5-2 on total.

In the mean time, Celta, who thumped out Madrid with a 3-2 total triumph, will have Alaves at Balaidos in the principal leg.

Eduardo Berizzo's eighth-set side crushed UCAM Murcia and Valencia before conquering Zinedine Zidane's side in the quarters.
