Former Liverpool midfielder, Dietmar Hamann, has described the six-year contract handed to Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp as “absolute madness,” adding that the club won’t win anything this season.
He said it's "peculiar" the club gave Klopp another six-year contract the previous summer, saying the Reds won't complete in the main four.
Klopp was designated on a three-year bargain in October 2015, and was given the new arrangement in July after Liverpool had finished first season eighth in the Premier League and achieved the English League Cup and Europa League finals.
Hamann said the arrangement was "total frenzy," including that, "They [Liverpool] won't win anything this year and they may not complete main four."
The 2-0 misfortune to Hull City on Saturday implies Klopp has now lost five of his last eight recreations in all rivalries.
Hamann, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, included, "I thought that it was weird in the late spring I must state in light of the fact that, on the off chance that you take a gander at the unadulterated realities, Jurgen Klopp came in and I think he changed the observation in the city and the football club.
"He gave them sound judgment and he had an effect when he came in, however in the event that you take a gander at the immaculate truths I don't think the focuses normal has enhanced significantly since Brendan Rodgers.
"You get to two finals, you lose two finals. I think they both ought to and could have won — particularly the second one against Sevilla [in the Europa League].
"That would have had a gigantic effect as they would have been in the Champions League. They have likely settled on a choice with their heart and not their head by developing the agreement by an additional four years."
