Osinbajo Sends Strong Warning To Religious, Tribal Leaders


Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has urged Nigerian leaders to shun ethnic and religious biases in addressing national problems.

Osinbajo made the remark yesterday, February 13 at the 2017 Murtala Muhammed Memorial address in Abuja.

He mourned the way that the soul of the Nigerian venture had deteriorated to the degree that, "The main question we ask is not what is the value of a man or a lady, or what he or she can do however where he or she is from or what religious mark he is wearing."

He included: "Their self-serving methodology may keep up their pertinence and control on their supporters however it is agnostic and at last dangerous."

The topic of the occasion was "Philanthropic Crisis and Response in a plural society: what part for initiative".

Osinbajo expressed that Nigeria will understand her true abilities as far as improvement just if pioneers can transcend childishness.

On her part, the CEO of the Murtala Muhammed Foundation; Mrs Aisha Oyebode said she and her group are glad for the work they have put into the establishment.

She expressed that the establishment is one of the biggest beneficent associations in Nigeria with operational workplaces in Lagos, Kano and Abuja and projects over the six geopolitical zones of the nation.

Mrs Oyebode utilized the chance to report that she will resign as the CEO of the association to head the admonitory board.

Oyebode was welcome to join the ladies administration leading body of the Women and Public Policy Program, an examination focal point of the Harvard Kennedy School that has some expertise in sex research and effort in December 2016.
